How AI Cut decides what to keep

When you push a yap into the Editor and click Generate AI Cut, Yapflo reads the full transcript and proposes a set of trims. Every cut is reversible.

What it cuts

  • Weak intros. "Hey guys, um, so, today I want to talk about…" — flagged as one unit so the real hook leads.
  • Dead air and false starts. Trailing "uhhh"s, "anyway"s, and "let me start over"s.
  • Tangents that don't pay off. If a thread is opened and never closed, the model usually removes it. You'll see why on hover.

It does not cut mid-phrase. If a sentence is partially weak, the whole sentence either stays or goes — never half.

What you see

Each suggestion is shown as a colored segment in the transcript:

  • Keep (green outline) — staying in
  • Cut (red strikethrough) — going out

Click any suggestion to flip it. Hover for the reason the model chose it.

Approving the cut

Two ways to commit:

  • Apply all — accept the model's pass as-is. Most yaps under 60 seconds are good to ship from here.
  • Review one-by-one — step through each suggestion before applying.

Anything you cut is never deleted from the source. You can undo the whole AI Cut and start over at any time.
