Editing the transcript word-by-word

The transcript Yapflo ships with each yap is the same one used for captions, search, and AI Cut. If a word is wrong, you fix it once and everything downstream updates.

Spot uncertain words

Yapflo flags words it isn't fully sure about with a wavy underline. These are the ones most likely to be wrong — names, jargon, acronyms, brand terms. Scan for them first.

Fix a word

Double-click any word to edit it inline. Hit Enter to save, Escape to cancel.

  • Changes save instantly.
  • The timeline stays in sync — playback still seeks correctly after an edit.
  • Captions re-render automatically.

Bulk edits

For a name that's wrong everywhere ("Brendan" → "Brandon"), use Find & replace from the transcript toolbar. It only touches matching words, not partial matches inside other words.

Older yaps

Yaps recorded before May 2026 didn't have per-word confidence. The first time you open one in the Editor now, Yapflo backfills the confidence data — you'll see a brief "Refreshing transcript" badge.
