The four caption styles
Yapflo ships four caption styles. They're all word-synced and burned into the MP4 on export — no separate sidecar needed.
Classic
All-caps, bold, white. Sits low-center. The default — works on almost anything and reads on muted feeds.
Use when: you want captions to disappear and the message to land.
Karaoke
Each word lights up as it's spoken (yellow highlight on a black bar). Higher engagement on TikTok and Reels.
Use when: the yap is rhythmic, listy, or you want viewers to keep watching to "finish" each line.
Highlight
Big yellow background block under one or two words at a time. Aggressive, attention-grabbing.
Use when: you only need to hit one or two key phrases, not transcribe the whole yap. Cuts well with on-screen text.
Subtitle
Quiet white text, low-third, no shadow. Reads like a film subtitle.
Use when: the yap has its own visual weight (B-roll, product shot, talking head with strong composition) and you don't want captions to fight it.
Switching styles
Open the Captions tab in the editor, click the style you want, and the preview updates in place. The export re-renders automatically when you toggle.
