AI Cut credits
Running AI Cut on a yap uses one credit. Every plan gets a flat allowance per billing cycle:
| Plan | Credits per cycle |
|---|---|
| Free | 10 |
| Pro | 100 |
| Agency (soon) | 500 |
Where to see your balance
The remaining count shows in three places:
- Editor — next to the Generate AI Cut button.
- Settings — under the Usage section.
- Side nav — a small chip when you're under 20% remaining.
What counts as a credit
- One Generate AI Cut run = one credit.
- Re-running on the same yap costs another credit (it's a fresh pass).
- Cut mode (manual word selection) is free — it doesn't touch credits.
Failed runs
If an AI Cut fails for any reason — bad audio, transcript error, the model timing out — the credit is returned automatically. You won't lose a credit to something that didn't ship.
Short yaps
Yaps under 10 seconds disable AI Cut with an inline note. The model doesn't have enough material to make a useful pass — and skipping it means you don't burn a credit either.
When the cycle resets
Credits reset on the 1st of each month (or your billing anniversary on annual plans). Unused credits don't roll over.
